The Grand Hotel

Centrally placed on Lerwick's Commercial Street, the imposing Grand Hotel is right at the heart of Shetland's busiest thoroughfare.


Offering well appointed and comfortable rooms, excellent car parking and easy access to just about all the local facilities, it makes an ideal base for business people and tourists alike.

Shetland tradition is very much alive in the Grand Hotel nearly one hundred years after it took its present fine form. Sample the past beneath turrets and steep gables that stand out in the Lerwick skyline. Or breathe in the history beside the huge sandstone blocks of this majestic building which proudly overlooks the harbour of Lerwick.

Wining and dining at the Grand Hotel is a special event. Our restaurant is comfortably furnished and offers a wide variety of dishes all freshly cooked and beautifully presented.

Before dinner you could have a drink in one of our bars and afterwards dance the night away in Shetland's only nightclub, Posers Night Club.
